Hi everyone! I have not been feeling myself recently. I am tired my skin is dull, I am getting stressed and anxious easily and I’m just generally feeling below par. So I want to do something about it. This is very personal to me and I know this is well away from my usual topics of Zoflora, cleaning and cooking, but I thought there would be at least one of you out there reading this that will feel the same … so for that reason I am going to document my progress through Project Pick Me Up! I will be blogging regularly about how I’m getting on and if anyone would like to throw in come encouraging words every now and again that would be lovely!
I have done this before and I know it works. The time when it worked the best was after my first marriage failed and it really helped me to stay afloat! … you can read about that HERE
So for the next 6 weeks I am going to invest time and energy into MYSELF. Through nutrition, movement, SLEEP (!), and looking after my emotional well being and self confidence. Because my self confidence feels like it needs a good dose of TLC too!
This isn’t a structured plan, this isn’t going to be like #theorganisedmummethod. It is fluid and adaptable to what I feel I need each day.
Over the next 6 weeks, I am going to make a pledge to myself that I will do three things daily and these are:
- To do some form of positive movement … whether that be yoga, a dog walk, a run, swim. Doesn’t matter as long as it gets the blood pumping!
- To do something to nourish my emotional wellbeing …. a bath, a book, meditation. Again doesn’t matter what as long as it makes me happy on the inside.
- To look after my body through proper nutrition, ENOUGH WATER and ENOUGH SLEEP!
This isn’t about weight loss. This is about feeling GOOD and taking proper care of myself. I won’t be counting calories or breaking myself in half doing hours of cardio.
